Passing of Mr. Greenberg
Dear Viking Families,
It is with incredible sadness that I report the passing of Mr. Mitchell Greenberg who was a teacher in our science department. Mr. Greenberg loved Northeast High School and we all loved him back. He was a kind and caring teacher who had a positive impact on the lives of Northeast students and staff alike. Mr. Greenberg was so very proud of his students and he would often boast of their success. We are all blessed to have had Mr. Greenberg in our lives; our deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones.
We encourage you to speak with your children to see how they are handling this news. Should you notice any unusual changes in your students’ behaviors or moods, please know that the District’s Philly HopeLine is available. This is a free and confidential helpline coordinated in conjunction with Uplift Center for Grieving Children that is staffed by Master’s level clinicians specializing in mental health counseling, emotional wellness and grief support. You can access the services by calling or texting 1-833-PHL-HOPE (1-833-745-4673).
