Mission
The Northeast Science Department is committed to our mission of helping guide all students along their path to becoming knowledgeable citizens who are well versed in the methods and ideas of science. We aim to create scientifically literate, and technologically capable problem solvers.  By fostering a spirit of inquiry, the use of scientific reasoning and thinking skills, nurturing our students’ curiosity, and bringing current, relevant and real-world science into the classroom experience, we prepare our students to become educated citizens capable of comprehending and analyzing global issues. We strive to ensure that students are able to communicate effectively, work cooperatively and use technology to work towards the goals of becoming lifelong learners. Above all, we strive to help students become engaged, productive members of society, and to remember and apply what they learn in our science classes to their own lives.

Vision
We aspire to graduate skilled critical thinkers, problem solvers, innovators, and team players. To accomplish our vision, we provide access to a plethora of courses that will support the curiosity and growth of all students.  Upon graduation our students will be capable of applying their scientific knowledge to contemporary issues, making connections between scientific disciplines, and pursuing post-secondary education or careers in the fields of science and engineering.
